Yes, in fact, studies overseas can help us to have a higher improvement in english!

海外學生入讀美國大學需要有托福考試成績單，你最好準備一吓。美國本地學生也要考SAT。:)7

one of my high school classmates in the past took SAT for university admission in the States.

however, she wasn't a high school student there. Instead she was still studying in HK at that time.
