你的中學是否母語教學

高考英文合格率又創新低了~~
那些解話人仕降釋, 在母語教學之下, 英文雖然差了, 其他成績卻有所進步....
我反而覺得, 就算你其他成績有多好, 英文不行, 工作在香港社會真的很賠低
你生物科和化學科有多好, 中史世史有多好, 在香港社會都很少用,
反而英文卻會經常與你工作息息相關
你畢業後在其他公司任職, 有些同事可能是外籍人仕, 對著他們一定要用英語, 而且對客的任何信件及電郵來往都會用上英文, 你發出的任何信件都是代表公司而出, 被人發現 (不論是上司, 同事或客人) 你的英文那麼強差人意, 真是「醜死鬼」
即使你不住公司任職, 你將來是想從事研究工作, 寫一篇論文都要用上英文呢....

我就是一個例子,
高考生物科成績不錯, 英文卻很一般, 現於一間醫療公司任職
要經常對著一些醫療名詞, 亦要經常對著客人.
我要經常打電郵及信件與客人溝通
英文不好的確是一個很大的障礙
即使你的醫療常識有多豐富, 如果英文不好, 又怎樣可以將你的意見或知識表達出來呢???

[/color][/size][/font][/i][/b][b][i][font=Times New Roman][size=5][color=navy]Our english standard is quite good back in the 60's, 70's and 80's but right before 1997, St. Joseph's A-C School suddenly became a chinese secondary school (I still cannot understand the reason why?). :)6 [/color][/size][/font][/i][/b]

香港的教學科目根本就有好大問題
讀咁多其實同我現在工作完全沒有關係:)2
我對於聽和睇是完全沒有問題的
講都講幾好(不過香港始終沒有機會練習)
不過寫就完全唔掂>_<

與其明知英文是重要, 畢了業要再進修
不如做好教育, 令學生作好進入社會的準備

我間母校係中文中學,
所以我o既英文都唔係好,
上到中6,7更加明顯,
一來多左外校生,
二來上堂要同到o既英文多左....
但係,其實我o係中四,五o既英文成績,o係全級入面算係唔錯,
我記得全級黎計,排十幾名...
可想而知我間學校o既英文水平係幾低^^"
我d grammar錯到7彩~哈哈哈
不過好彩我o既會考同高考o既英文都合格,
我有好多同學都死左o係英文科上面...

咁多科入面,最好成績係地理,
不過讀地理其實冇咩用^^"
我有諗過如果用英文讀o既,d成績可能又係另一回事....

p.s.我間學校係band 3,唔好以為係band 5(以前o既計法,而家好似得band1-3??)

係 97 前係d "假英中",
用英文書, 但用中文教

而加工作上同外國人/印度人溝通無咩問題
甚至我個 GG 都係用英文讀既, 基本上讀/寫/溝通問題都不大

我覺得英文好唔好係睇個人囉, 同制度無關
有心學既, 平時睇英文報紙/英文歌/明珠台都訓練到啦

If a student studies in a chinese secondary school, he/she will most likely has less chance to have contact with english language. On the other hand, I finished my educaton in an anglo-chinese school, We had english studies since P.5. [/color][/size][/font][/i][/b]

All the magazines I like to read are written in english and my english is very poor so I always keep a dictionary with me at home and in the office. If anyone wishes to improve their english, do try it my way.[/color][/size][/font][/i][/b]
